Custom Work

UVA Instruments is a full-scale custom shop. No job is too big or too small for us. We perform all types of work on instruments, from regular check-ups to major modifications or custom creation built to your specifications.

Modifications

We do all kinds of modification work on instruments, including, but not limited to: reshaping, neck scalloping, part replacement, hardware and electronics installation, etc.

Custom Inlay

We do custom inlay work on our or your instruments; any images, including provided graphics, or our original designs. If you only have a vague idea of what you want, we'll sit down with you, and design a perfect inlay. We use various materials, included but not limited to: different kinds of shell (abalone, paua, etc.), reconstructed stone, metals, wood veneers, etc.

On the right-hand side you can see some of the examples of our inlay work. One of our most elaborate inlay creations is our showcase guitar - Baphomet, which consists of over 150 pieces of various inlay materials.

Paint

We do custom and refinishing paint jobs; a variety of colors and custom finishes and graphics are available. On the right-hand side you can see two examples of custom paint jobs we performed: camo guitar and Mexican flag guitar, which was featured in the new video "The End" from the all-start Ropadrunner recording project. Repair and Restoration

We are the guitar doctors. We do all kinds of repair and restoration work, tailored to your particular case. Even if you guitar is torn to shembles, there's a good chance we can resque it.
